Kidnapped soldiers returned in coffins after two years of captivity

נתנו לאדישות להרוג אותם… “And thy sons shall NOT return to their borders”

This morning in Rosh Hanikra, Israel, an Israel-Lebanon border, a prisoner exchange took place returning Ehud Goldwasser and Eldad Regev to Israel and Samir Kuntar, four other Lebanese prisoners and 199 bodies of Hizbullah operatives to Lebanon.

Goldwasser and Regev were returned in coffins, their remains identified in the early afternoon.

The two families are left grieving and consoling each other after two years of waiting with hope for their sons’ return.

Omri Avni, widow Karnit Goldwasser’s father, says “we started this process as three families, Shalit, Regev and Goldwasser. We will continue as three families, until Gilad too returns home.”

We, at Hillel, offer our condolenses to the Goldwasser and Regev family and would like to say that our thoughts are with you.
