Next week the Toronto Jewish Film Festival begins and on Monday, May 5, Tel Aviv University is holding a screening of three short student films at the Sheppard Grande Theatre. The evening starts at 7:30 with a reception (wine and finger food), followed by a short presentation by Consul General Amir Gissin.
One of the film producers, an Israeli student, will be answering Q&A as well.
The films, though fiction, are reflective of various society related issues in Israel, such as Arab-Israeli relationships, Russiam Immigration and social gaps. As independent films, created by peer students, these films will be very interesting to see.
General admission is $25, but we have limited tickets for free to share with you.
This is a great opportunity, especially for those interested in applying to Tel Aviv University, alumni or wish to have more information and a connection about the region.
