Pulitzer Prize winner, Art Spiegelman is coming to speak tonight about his views and style of producing comics at Comix 101: Forbidden Images and the Art of Outrage.
His use of this medium is to express an opinion or point of view. For instance, in Maus and Maus II, two of his most notable works, Spiegelman retraces his parents’ story as they survived the Holocaust. Other works of his include designing the cover of the New Yorker magazine for ten years time, co-creating the Garbage Pail Kids stickers and cards and In the Shadow of No Towers.
